In the past, you felt burnout and frustration with finances and this bled over into your emotional and spiritual well-being. Now this 'past' does not have to be distant and it can be as much as yesterday as well as today; this card in this position that this situation has been significant for you. 
This card shows the quiet but powerful moment when you knew that what you were doing. Maybe it was a job, your side hustle/business, or even the way you related to money; but as some point it no longer felt right and you let it go. That of course had an undesirable effect. But do not view it as a failure or abandonment; this card is about self-honesty, being true to yourself. You may have invested time, effort, and hope into a path that once seemed promising, only to discover that it really was not in alignment with your values or purpose.
This walk-away moment comes after a long period of trying to make something work and staying because of loyalty, fear, or the security it offered. But then your soul recognized the need for something more meaningful. This was the beginning of a reorientation. You started to understand that fulfillment can’t be measured by numbers alone, and that emotional well-being is part of true prosperity and abundance.
The 8 of Cups represents courage and coming from a place of love and the willingness to leave behind what is 'comfortable' in search of ur what really 'floats your boat'. What ever it was, a career pivot, an end to a draining commitment, or simply a shift in how you define success; it put you on a path that feels uncertain and that can be scary. Remember that this decision to move forward came from your heart and with integrity. You are no longer willing to sacrifice my emotional well-being for the 'love of money'.

10 of Pentacles in reverse speaks of the current energy and points to a period of RE-evaluation around security and stability; which right now is a Mercury REtrograde and is the perfect energy for a RE-evaluation. The nervousness you are probably feeling is from the aftershocks of change. You made a decision and now, here is the effects of that. The 10 of Pentacles in reverse is calling for a REstructuring of finances, REview your long-term plans, and to REorganize the current energy that you are putting into your financial situation. The challenges are testing your sense of safety. This REview and REorganization will require some sacrifices; drop a few subscriptions or perhaps take a break from some upcoming family/holiday traditions; things that are 'expected' of you but are not a REquirement will have to take a time out. REbalancing the income and expenses for now will help lighten the load and any worry. You do not need to 'keep up with the Jones', so don't view it like it is a failure or loss/punishment. 
Take a look at how you were raised to view money and how to handle finances. With the "RE" season; it is a great time to challenge those inherited perspectives. What you feel is success and what you have been told is success can be two different things and there is no shame in breaking away from the ways of your parents. Times have changed drastically from one generation to another; so it is wrong to even try and make a comparison. There is a whole different set of challenges and a dynamic that you are faced with so do not feel like you are not 'measuring up'; let go of any tension between the external and internal definitions of success based on what others think or expect. This is all about your own path and one that is heart-driven. If you have what you need and live simply, there is no reason that you cannot be happy.  This is a phase to REbuild the foundations of the next chapter of your life. The key to making a successful shift is to avoid clinging to the old structures out of fear. Know that what feels unstable now is just the universe at work making room for something more authentic and sustainable to emerge.
The suit of pentacles is the 'material' suit and this expresses that the potential to manifest is present; but stress and/or worry are hindering things. REdirect that energy and mutate it into passion and knowing that you can and will do what you desire.

Future ~ The High Priestess
Overcome the reversed 10 of Pentacles and we come to The High Priestess. She is the shift from outer effort to inner alignment. She asks you to slow down and listen to your intuition, your instincts, and the quiet rhythms of timing; as in synchronicity etc. Financially, this card is not about quick gains or external validation, but about cultivating wisdom and trust in your own inner guidance. It is a phase of intuitive strategy, where insight is more valuable than information. When manifesting successfully, it happens as if it was magic! You are endlessly being blessed and not always in money; it is often the opportunity to make money or save money. BUT... it is having that 'sixth sense' and the wisdom to see those blessings and opportunities. The key to financial growth will come from understanding energetic flow, what feels expansive versus what drains. You will be guided toward subtle opportunities (with those synchronicities) by way of unconventional paths that don’t make sense logically, but they feel right; so trust it! The High Priestess reminds you that intuition is not the opposite of practicality, it’s the compass that tells you where to apply practical effort.
This card also carries an element of mystery, things not yet revealed. There may be new insights, spiritual development, or information still hidden that will shape your next financial chapter. Don’t rush to fill the unknown with plans or fears (10 of Pents reversed). Instead, use this time to deepen your awareness, observe patterns, and REfine your vision. What you attract next will match the level of clarity you cultivate now. So, if you worry about not being able to pay the bills, then that is what can happen.
In a nutshell, The High Priestess teaches that abundance begins in stillness. Your prosperity will grow in direct proportion to your self-trust. When you align with what feels true rather than what looks certain, you open a channel for flow, inspiration, and divine timing.
